Ballet Under the Stars
AMDE is continuing their tradition of sharing an evening of dance under the night time skies with their annual production, Ballet Under the Stars, May 30 – 31 at the Zilker Hillside Theater (just across the parking lot from Barton Springs Pool).
Ballet Under the Stars has been an Austin favorite for years and this year's production will feature more local artists with a mixed repertory of old and new works. AMDE has enlisted the choreographic talents of Leona Martin, Erin Mayo, Danielle Ricci, Deirdre Russell Robinson, Diana Wang and more. This will be a night of great entertainment, so mark your calendars. And it's FREE!

Austin Dance Ensemble and Metamorphosis Dance Ensemble merged in August 2006 to create Austin Metamorphosis Dance Ensemble (AMDE). AMDE presented its first full season combining over 18 years of performance experience into a unique presentation of four shows ranging from neoclassical ballet to contemporary modern. AMDE has a youth and adult company, and under the direction of Melanie Kregel, Erin Mayo, and Danielle Ricci, AMDE will continue its tradition this year by bringing the Austin community four more original shows.
